John Mayer - live in concert 2008
Someone told John Mayer that he’s “the guy who reinvented the blues.” But he humbly deflected the compliment, insisting that if anyone gets credit for reinventing the blues it would be his listeners (presumably by helping him figure out what we all want to hear)…
The point? This man, this artist, is no Jack Johnson (not that there’s anything wrong with Jack Johnson). More on my thoughts about his work later… or you can read my post from last fall.

Thanks, PG. Have you listened to some of his less popular tunes (like Slow Dancing in a Burning Room or Gravity)? You might like those more than songs like Waiting on the World…
